Background
The Cashaway Valley Railroad has been under development since 1980. It is in its third, and I hope, final home. It is an HO scale Railroad set in South Central West Virginia circa 1964. It has been only in the last few years that I have made the transition from an entirely freelanced railroad to one that has a specific era and will be based, generally, on the operational practices and equipment roster of a 1:1 scale railroad. The CVRR will connect with the Norfolk & Western at Williamson West Virginia. It follows the route of the Virginian, which was purchased by the N&W on December 1, 1959. The general area is from Deepwater to Oak Hill to Williamson W.Va . This version was begun in August 2003.
The railroad occupies a space 10'6" x 23'6'' in the garage.
