The New River Mine (4 of 15)

It's now the Fall of 2005,  two years since I started.  This photo shows the placement for the Mine on he left, including the addition of a 1" x 4" to make room for an extra track.  The original plan had space only for the three tracks under the mine, but as I read more on mine operations the addition of a track for Loads Ready became apparent.  It would have been even better to have a track for Empties as well, but space does get in the way of the perfect plan.  You may notice a lot of other things have "happened" in the layout room, the branch benchwork from behind the yard, up and all the way around the room is complete, the first cut at the yard is in place, and a good portion of the main is in place.  I am not really happy unless I have 20 projects going on at the same time,   how about you?   I am finally ready to start laying track for the mine.
