The New River Mine (5 of 15)

As you can see, I laid a piece of Homosote on top of the plywood to reduce the grade and to give me a good surface for laying ties.  I also want the ties and track to appear as if they have "sunk" into the ground over time and thats why I didn't put cork roadbed under the ties once the track got to the mine site.
